Stanford Tour Guide Application

Tour Guides represent the Office of Undergraduate Admission and the university as a whole!

As a division of the Office of Undergraduate Admission, Visitor Information Services’ mission is to welcome, inform, and engage prospective undergraduate students and their support systems through in-person and virtual programming and interactions; connect students to Stanford’s educational opportunities and resources; and illuminate pathways for college access to empower students to envision a future at Stanford and beyond. These objectives are to be carried out while promoting and modelling excellence, innovation, inclusion and access in the fields of undergraduate admission and collegiate visitor information services.

Each year, Visitor Information Services (VIS) provides guided tours and informational services to well over 100,000 campus visitors - including prospective students, educational groups, professionals, the campus and local community, and general visitors. The VIS staff consists of 60-90 student guides and three full-time university staff. Tour Guides should be current undergraduates or have attended Stanford as an undergraduate student.

It is our goal for this process be as transparent and low-stress as possible. Feel free to contact the Visitor Center Tour Guide Hiring Committee by email with any questions about the position, this application, or the interview process: StanfordTourGuides@stanford.edu
